Happy New Year, all! Well, I don't know about you but this topic really resonated with me. Regarding rejection, who hasn't been there - whether in a relationship, for a job, or otherwise? I think the important thing to take away from it all is that no matter how many times you may analyze your performance, personality, compatibility, etc. it all boils down to being willing to be fully known and transparent. If you first remember that God loves you unconditionally and that he purposed you before the beginning of time, you'll learn to accept life's potholes for the experiences they are.
It's important not to take it too personally either. Sometimes a job or person wasn't a good "fit" not because you weren't right for the role, but because the other party was not ready. Who's to say that they won't change their mind later on down the road, or that another position will open up? Which is not to say you should stake everything on that possibility, but keep your options open. Be flexible and remember that God's ways are not our ways.
As a wise person once told me: To achieve true growth, we must first overcome ourselves.
